Fishbelly Black's (aka George Mitchell) first CD started the motion, the follow-up "Movin", knocked down the doors, and now "Crusader" is ready to blow up and make believers out of everyone. Eleven funky instrumental cuts of hip-hop flavored jazz, solidly highlighting their trademark sound of breaks and beats with blistering Hammond organ and alto sax trading melodies and solos on top. The sound journeys from the smooth flavors of "Freefall" to the club appeal of "Ven a Gozar" and then sits solidly in the funky grooves behind "Brick House" and "Crusader". "Ven a Gozar" is tearing up the Smooth Jazz charts at Radio and Records and expect the full length CD to do the same.
